The story behind Heart's Chimney.

Douglas Mitchell started Heart's Chimney in 2004 after years of seeing the kind of chimney work that gets passed off as a service call — a quick sweep, a shrug, a $90 invoice, no documentation, no real inspection of the system.

The standard he set instead was simple: every chimney gets a real inspection. Every finding gets photographed. Every recommendation comes with a fixed price in writing. The customer leaves the visit knowing exactly what was checked, what was found, and what (if anything) needs to be done.

Two and a half decades later, that’s still the standard. We work across Sonoma, Marin, and Napa County. We carry the insurance and the training certifications. And we’ve protected thousands of North Bay homes from the chimney fires that never happened — because the inspection caught the problem first.
